Robotic therapy helps to recover stroked members

Base on the principal of a stroked arm that by periodic movements can recover, using a robotic mechanism the hand or foot may recover, because the mechanism system can work permanently and will move the arm regularly in the necessary directions.

The used device is named "HOWARD", initials that stands from "Hand-Wrist Assisting Robotic Device".

Patients can recover their members the best in first 3 months after strike.

This system is good for persons with an easy paralysis, but for those with a total paralysis too.
The mechanism is controlled by a computer. In situation that the doctor ask patient to move his hand into a position, the electronic support will help him if he can't move his arm until reaches destination.

In case of accidents, the nervous system breaks and members are losing the connection with brain.
Through regular arm moves, the brain can relearn the movements of them, recovering in this way the nervous system.

The mechanism can help even persons with movements inabilities, those being especially old persons.
It's doing therapy's with help of this mechanism for 2 hours on every day for 3 weeks. At the end, persons can move arms with a precision between 10 until 20 percent higher than before.
