The first DDR 3 memory for desktop

"Super Talent" shipping with Samsung, has create the first prototype model of DDR 3 for desktops systems.The successor of DDR 2, has advantages against its predecessors. The consumption has been decreased to 1.5 V and the frequency has been grown up between 800 and 1600 MHz.
Physical, the DDR 3 memory it is similar with DDR 2 but are not compatibles.
As technology for their chips, its using "Fine-pitch Ball Grid Array" with 240 pins factor.
Approximately on half of 2007 will be out on market, after all tests will be done and after finalizing all DDR 3 specifications memory.
Will appear on the new motherboards from Intel which will support DDR 2 and DDR 3.
