click to enlarge Google Health was launched on Monday and it's a service allowing users to upload and share medical information about their health with others.

Patients can share experiences in this way with other people, see how people with the same problems reacted to some treatments, or they can share their health information with doctors and receive a proper medical treatment. Since clinics and medical centers could also share information about their patients, someone could show its health records to its potential employer to prove his health condition.

The confidentiality problem has been posed, so Google Health has created a special infrastructure which has an additional layer of protection to prevent unauthorized access.
By launching this service, Google has started yet another battle with the Microsoft company, since Microsoft has offered a similar medical service in October, too. Google's interest for this domain is understandable since it's expected to enhance exposure to its ads.

Google Health is currently available for the United State people, but it's expected it will soon expand, becoming global.
