click to enlarge In the CEO meeting on Wednesday, Bill Gates presented a prototype technology that is suppose to turn any wall into a computer.

The prototype is called "TouchWall", measures 4 foot by 6 foot and it is a multi-touch system you can manipulate with your own hands. In order to receive commands the system uses infrared and laser technology to sense touch input.

During Gates speech listeners had a chance to see why the TouchWall is only a prototype and not a finished product. When presenting the technology Gates said: "Whenever I go up and touch it, the software will notice it" but nothing happened, so he quickly added "theoretically". However, the software started just a few seconds later.

Although this technology has an estimated price of $10.000, Bill Gates said that in just a few years the cost of production for the hardware will be low enough, so that individuals could afford it.
