Phoenix is in the far north of Mars

Now Phoenix is in the far North of Mars and is gathering samples of the soil and also breathtaking pictures of the arctic area of the planet. Phoenix mission for the next few days is to capture more reveling pictures of planet Mars and to bring samples of ice from the Martian soil for researchers to see if there is or not any life form on Mars.
At landing, Phoenix has send a signal to Earth and is presently communicating using the X-band radio spectrum. Despite the fact that the messages from the spacecraft are arriving with a delay of about 20 minutes, due to the distance between Mars and Earth, NASA announced that they already got pictures made by Phoenix.
So far, those images reveals clear parts of Mars soil, which according to specialist resemble to the icy ground in the arctic regions of Earth.
